For those of you that have never gotten behind the "wheels of steel" and played music for a crowd... you have no idea what you're missing.

Speaking from personal experience, it's a high that no drug can simulate. When in your zone, and the mixes are dropping like hot cakes, and everything's on beat, and the crowd is in sync with you...there's nothing like it. I've had that a number of times. And it's that feeling that keeps me in this for the long haul.

I've been spinning music since I was in university, having been introduced to college radio. That was 17 years ago. That's also where I really got into industrial. First track I ever played in that genre was "Testure" by Skinny Puppy. From there on in, everything changed. Admittedly, I spent more time at the radio station than I did in class. But it certainly got me experience. From there, I was a DJ for a local Lions Club, spinning for the teenage dances. I got immersed in top-40 music at that time. I'd spin at parties, wedding receptions...mind you, it wasn't anything like what I do now. I had gotten my foot in the door to spin at a new goth/industrial night at its inception. From there...well...the rest is history. I've been spinning goth/industrial/EBM for a good number of years now. I became a semi-regular there, which was a lot of fun...but I kept thinking I needed more time at the booth to really improve me skills. And since moving to KC, I have. A LOT more. And it's been great. The one genre I do want to get into spinning, at some point, is trance/hard house. I've been to one rave...well, heavily-sponsored dance party...and I'd love to be the one keeping the crowd moving. For me, it's a passion. I know it sounds corny as hell, but it's true :)

And now that I've rambled on about all that...

NEW!! My first industrial set is now online! Click HERE to hear the mix. The folks at DemoStreams have graciously provided a place for DJs and other performers to promote themselves. Click on the banner anc check them out for yourself!
